SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Local food banks are preparing for increased demand as uncertainty surrounds SNAP program funding for November due to the ongoing government shutdown.
Sharon, a SNAP recipient, said she worries about children in her community who depend on the program.
“Right now, we don’t know what gonna happen. At any rate, we just don’t know what’s gonna happen. And I hope and pray that it don’t shut down so those kids are able to eat,” Sharon said…
