Monroe Resident Arrested on 49 Felony Charges for Staged Crash and Insurance Fraud Scheme Impacting Local Community

In October 2025, Adrian Sampson, 21, from Monroe, Louisiana, was arrested in Bossier City. The arrest followed an investigation by the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud/Auto Theft Unit – Monroe Field Office. The investigation began in April 2025 after the Louisiana Department of Insurance reported suspected insurance fraud involving Sampson.

Authorities report that between May 2024 and September 2025, Sampson was involved in several staged vehicle crashes in Ouachita Parish. These incidents led to fraudulent insurance claims. Police estimate that about $156,000 was obtained through these claims. Sampson faces 49 felony charges.
