BOSSIER CITY, La. — A privately financed toll road and bridge linking south Shreveport to Bossier Parish sparked sharp pushback this week.
Residents lined up during Shreveport’s City Council meeting to deliver public comments warning of noise, pollution and falling property values. Despite the harsh criticism, the City Council voted 7–0 to allow surveys and an appraisal to begin, just short of final approval.
