Shreveport, LA – Five individuals believed to be responsible for a recent downtown fight have been located and arrested following a targeted investigation. The arrests resulted from a joint effort between the Shreveport Police Department, Probation & Parole, and multiple police units.
5 Shreveport Suspects Charged and Detained
The following people have been arrested and charged with one count of disturbing the peace by fighting:
- Aaron Small
- Iyauna Lockett
- Demarcus Eiland
- Jacorey Wesley
- Jada Brown
Of the five arrested, three were found to be on active probation at the time of the incident. Jacorey Wesley, Demarcus Eiland, and Aaron Small are being held on an additional probation violation and are currently being held without bond pending further legal action.
Shreveport Police Chief Vows Zero Tolerance for Violence
Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith issued a strong statement regarding the incident and the department’s commitment to public safety.
“Make no mistake — we will not tolerate violence in our downtown,” said Chief Smith. “These five chose to bring fear and disorder to a place meant for families, businesses and visitors.”
He commended the speed and diligence of the law enforcement personnel involved. “Our detectives worked around the clock, with help from Probation & Parole and specialized units, to identify and locate those responsible.”…
