Tornadoes, Hail and Downpours Expected In East Texas on Monday

Monday afternoon and evening, much of East Texas is at risk of a severe weather outbreak. Hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes are anticipated across a swath from Shreveport to Austin, which includes Lufkin/Nacogdoches and Tyler/Longview.

Some of the storms could produce golf-ball-sized hail and winds in excess of 60 mph. Forecasters are also warning that strong tornadoes (111+ mph) are a possibility. The greatest probability of tornadoes on Monday extends from the ArkLaTex through much of East Texas and into the Brazos Valley.
