Parkway’s defense battled all night and got the defensive stop in overtime to lift the Panthers past Hahnville 37-31 in overtime of a LHSAA Division I non-select battle at Bobby Marlow Field at Preston Crownover Stadium.
The No. 6 seeded Panther defense stopped the Tigers on fourth-and-goal from the 5 to set off the celebrations and send them to the quarterfinals at home against No. 14 Ouachita.
“Our defense played awesome, they played lights out all night,” said Parkway head coach Coy Brotherton. “They created three turnovers and got plenty of stops on fourth down. That’s the best we’ve played in a while.”…
