FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for severe storms on Monday

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Today is a KSLA FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY due to strong storms moving across the ArkLaTex throughout Monday. A couple of storms are already across the northern edge of the region early this morning and these will slowly move throughout the day not reaching Shreveport until the early afternoon most likely and not reaching Natchitoches until tonight. Flash flooding and hail are possible with storms all day long today. We do have a chance for tornadoes today too mostly in areas along & south of the I-20 corridor in the afternoon and nighttime hours. Storms should be gone out of the ArkLaTex around 2/3am when they finally leave Natchitoches.

High temperatures for Monday are a wide range between the upper 50s and lower 60s in the northern end of the ArkLaTex to the upper 60s to mid 70s in the southern half of the region. The morning temperatures are kick starting cooler in the 50s out the door.

A stray shower or two is left with mostly cloudy skies for Tuesday morning before the sunshine and dry conditions should fully return for most of the daytime hours. High temperatures mostly stay put between the upper 50s in the north to the lower 70s in the south portions of the ArkLaTex. Morning temperatures should begin in the 50s once more…
