Wet and stormy start to the weekend!

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Good evening! We will stick with the cloud cover through the night and into tomorrow, but rain will be accompanying these clouds. Scattered showers and storms may start to flow into the ArkLaTex from the west by just after 10pm and continue through the night.

These storms tonight pose a low severe threat, as conditions will be cool through the night and into the morning hours. Once the afternoon arrives, a cold air mass will be pushing farther into the southern portions of the country, causing a line of storms to develop in the northwestern portions of the region.

This line will push southeastward through the afternoon and evening hours, holding the chance to produce an isolated severe storms. Damaging winds and large hail are possible with the slim chance for a brief, weak tornado in our southwestern most counties. Flash flooding has the best chance of occurring in our far southernmost counties/parishes as the storms move through and storms intensify…
