Louisiana Cemetery Board moves forward with hearing on Forest Park Cemeteries’ conditions

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Louisiana Cemetery Board’s investigative committee has recommended a preliminary hearing before the full board next year to discuss issues at Forest Park East and Forest Park West cemeteries in Shreveport.

The cemetery board has jurisdiction over all perpetual care cemeteries and handles complaints from cemetery customers. Over the years, many people with family members buried at Forest Park have formally complained about the condition of the roads, grounds, and graves.
