Shreveport City Council announces launch of Operation Safe Neighborhoods Phase II

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Operation Safe Neighborhoods in Shreveport is officially moving into Phase II, Shreveport City Council Chairwoman Tabatha Taylor announced Friday, Dec. 5.

This phase expands the city’s commitment to community-focused crime prevention by providing free installation of front and rear motion-activated floodlights and a deadbolt for eligible households.

The program is administered through the Department of Community Development and is part of the council’s goal to equip people in the city with practical tools to help reduce crime and improve their quality of life.
