Caddo Commission approves 2026 budget with funds for sheriff’s move

CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Parish Commission adopts next year’s budgetwith money going toward a new space for the sheriff’s office and advertising campaign to attract future residents.

The commission held a special session Tuesday afternoon to pass the $145-million Operating and Capital budget. After a lengthy discussion and amendments added, the budget passed unanimously.

$2.5-million was approved for the Caddo Sheriff’s Office to relocate the North Market substation to the former Yokem Toyota dealership on Bert Kouns. $40,000 was also approved for a marketing campaign to promote Caddo Parish as a destination to move to.
