Bossier Parish Approves 2026 Budget Focusing on Roads, Drainage, and Public Facilities Upgrades

The Bossier Parish Police Jury has approved its 2026 budget, with a focus on infrastructure and public facilities. The budget allocates $30 million for road and infrastructure projects. The East/West Corridor project will receive $17.5 million, mostly from federal funding. Other transportation projects include a $1.3 million traffic study for Highway 157 in Haughton and $4.5 million for improvements on Bobby Byrd, Frank Staton, and Airline Drive at Swan Lake Road.

Drainage work is planned for the Espanita neighborhood, supported by a $2 million federal grant from the Louisiana Watershed Initiative.
