Shreveport Police Department thanks community for holiday support

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is expressing gratitude this holiday season to local community members and organizations that have shown support for first responders.

In a Facebook post, the department states their appreciation for the efforts of the 911 Broadmoor Page, Miss Kathleen Goodrich, and Carter Federal Bank for their generous donations of holiday gift bags.

These bags, filled with snacks and treats, were provided to patrol officers, dispatchers, jailers, and vehicle technicians as a token of appreciation for their hard work in keeping the city safe.

“The thoughtful gifts have been a much-appreciated pick-me-up during the busy holiday season,” an SPD spokesperson said. “We are incredibly grateful for a community that looks out for those who serve it.”

The Shreveport Police Department ends with a post wishing everyone a Merry Christmas season…
