Bossier deputy recovering from gunshot; fundraiser underway

BENTON, La. – A Bossier Parish sheriff’s deputy who was shot during an off-duty incident that left a man dead is recovering at home following surgery over the weekend.

Deputy Jared Frazier was shot in the ankle on New Year’s Day at a house on Robbin Lane in Princeton. There is no word on how long he’ll be off the job, said sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Neil Johnston.

Johnston declined to provide additional details about the incident that left Jonathan Len Isgitt, 55, dead. He would not disclose the relationship between Frazier and Isgitt. An initial news release indicated the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute…
