BOSSIER CITY, La. — While the majority of the work in the Interstate 20 construction zone is complete, state highway officials say motorists should be aware that intermittent lane closures are necessary at times as some of the final smaller tasks are completed.
Currently, the inside lanes in the eastbound and westbound directions through a portion of the project, which stretches from just west of Benton Road to Industrial Drive, are closed. That’s to allow contractors to do such things as installing pavement expansion joints, signage installation and other items, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
