EF-1 tornado confirmed in Coushatta

RED RIVER PARISH, La. (KSLA) – The National Weather Service in Shreveport has concluded their storm surveys in Red River Parish to determine the type of damage caused by Saturday morning’s storms.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down a few miles south of Coushatta in Red River Parish on Jan. 10 around 12:04 a.m.

The tornado traveled approximately 0.4 miles in its two minutes on the ground. The tornado reached a width of 84 yards and produced peak wind speeds of 88 mph. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The NWS also did not find any structural damage during their survey.
