SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – SporTran will launch redesigned bus routes Sunday, January 11, 2026, following weeks of public meetings and community feedback.
The transit agency said the updates focus on better connections, more consistent service and easier travel across Shreveport.
New high-frequency routes
Two new Metro Loop routes will begin service Sunday. Metro Loop 31 and Metro Loop 32 are high-frequency routes that travel in opposite directions along major corridors, including Youree Drive and Jewella Avenue.

SporTran said the loops will create smoother service, reduced wait times and simpler navigation throughout the city.
Updated existing service
The Hearne/East Kings Highway Route 1 replaces previous service along Hearne Avenue and East 70th Street. SporTran said the updated route offers more direct connections and improved reliability.
