Dr. Calvin Mackie urged hope and action in a modern era Sunday morning at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, delivering a message titled “Hope in a 21st Century” during their Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration Worship.
“We’ve got to remember when we celebrate King − he wasn’t assassinated because he had a dream,” Mackie said. “King was assassinated because he got up everyday and tried to make his dream come true.”
