SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport Police are searching for a man who they believe has critical information about the city’s first homicide of 2026.

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 22, at the intersection of Mayfield Street and Roberts Street. When officers arrived, they found Kadarius Reed, 34, with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives are currently searching for Dwayne Lawrence Williams. Police say that he is wanted only for questioning in connection with the investigation. Williams is believed to have information that could provide clarity and justice to the case.
