Mooringsport Mayor Tyler Gordon didn’t expect that his Sunday afternoon would be spent helping in a bottled water giveaway in Oil City. He volunteered to assist the town just a few miles up on La. Hwy 1 to make certain people in the area had the water they need to drink and cook.
Blanchard, Oil City and Mooringsport made it through the coldest of the recent weather with water flowing, but on Friday, Blanchard announced that the water it provided to several small Caddo municipalities would be shut off temporarily.
