Shreveport Spring Bloom Schedule 2026: When Will Azaleas Peak?

As we see warmer temps arrive in Shreveport – Bossier, I can not wait until we start seeing a wide variety of flowers start blooming across the region. The cold snap from a week ago made me stop thinking about that. But it’s back at the top of my list of favorite things for spring.

In the next couple of weeks, you will probably noticed something unexpected. Residents will likely start seeing signs of early blooms which means spring is pulling into the station.

The First Signs of Spring: What’s Blooming Now?

Usually we have to wait until mid to later March to see all of our favorite flowers, but several early birds should be blooming this month. One that we can look forward to are those Bartlett pear trees—known for their dense white clusters—showing off their petals in mid-February.

You will also probably see Japanese magnolias, redbuds and crabapple trees starting to bloom this month.
