4th Annual HBCU college fair set to inspire students in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — On February 26, 2026, Shreveport will host the highly anticipated 4th annual HBCU College Fair, offering students an invaluable opportunity to connect with representatives from over 20 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Before likes and shares, black Shreveport drove real change

The college fair will take place at the Harry Blake Family Life Center, 1666 Alston Street, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature many HBCUs from across the southern United States, including Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and more.

This year’s event will include several exciting additions, such as on‑site choir and band tryouts. Aspiring musicians will have the opportunity to audition for HBCU music programs, including the renowned Grambling State University Marching Band.
