The Mystic Krewe of Imani held its inaugural ball in the Horseshoe Riverdome at the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Bossier City on Saturday, and it was an action-packed night of performances, food and fun.
Themed “Lights, Camera, Action,” The Mystic Krewe of Imani’s “Grande Bal” was Hollywood-inspired, with a red carpet at the entrance. Guests were able to take photos and be interviewed on the red carpet before taking their seats and getting food.
The Mystic Krewe of Imani, founded by Larry and Golden Ellis, Roderick and Barbara Casey, Denise Simon, Cheryl Young, Craig Johnson, and Angela Nichols, was created with the mission statement, “To celebrate the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of Mardi Gras through inclusive community engagement, creative expression, and charitable giving. Our Krewe is dedicated to honoring tradition while fostering unity and joy in every festivity, ensuring that the magic of Mardi Gras resonates with all, both now and for generations to come.”…
