Earlie Hudnall Jr. captures true African American life in photos

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – As Black History Month continues, a powerful photography exhibition is on display at Shreveport Regional Arts Council’sArtspace on Texas Street, showcasing more than 50 years of culture, community and everyday life.

The exhibition features the work of Houston-based photographer Earlie Hudnall Jr., whose career spans five decades. Originally from Mississippi and now based in Texas, Hudnall has spent more than 50 years documenting African American lifestyle through unposed images that capture authentic moments from mothers holding their children to neighbors gathering in the streets.

Visitors can view photographs dating back to the 1980s through the 2000s and beyond, offering a visual timeline of cultural evolution and community resilience…
