Since September of 2023, I-20 has been under construction throughout Bossier City, but it would appear the end of this enormous reconstruction project is entering its final days.

However, as the lion share of the work has already been done, there are a number of smaller projects that need to be handled before the project can be deemed officially completed.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that one of those smaller projects will be performed this week and will cause a number of intermittent closures of the I-20 eastbound off-ramp to LA 3 (Benton Road) in Bossier City.
The I-20 eastbound exit ramp to Benton Road will be closed several days this week to allow for permanent roadway striping operations to be conducted on the ramp and approaching roadway. This work will be performed weather permitting.
The ramp closures are scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday, February 20, 2026 from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
