Volunteer transforms life with Salvation Army program help

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Salvation Army of northwest Louisiana shines a spotlight on a volunteer who says they gave him a second chance.

“Just a broken man, you know, and I decided to come to the Salvation Army and give myself a chance of getting my life together,” said volunteer Franklin Norwood

Norwood, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, has faced many setbacks in life. After volunteering at the Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana for 5 months, he’s proud of what he’s been able to accomplish.

“They have the, a transitional program, which I got in December.you know, during Christmas, I’m in transitional housing where I’m waiting to get my apartment now, oh, that’s something that I’ve been working on a long time,” Norwood said…
