Bossier City Considers Open Containers to Boost Boardwalk Fun

A pretty big change could be coming to the Boardwalk in Bossier City. The city council is considering an ordinance that would allow open containers of alcohol throughout the complex.

What This Means for Bossier Boardwalk?

This could make the Boardwalk feel more like Bourbon Street in New Orleans or Beale Street in Memphis. Part of the goal is to breathe new life into the area’s dining and entertainment scene.

Mayor Tommy Chandler has proposed the change which he hopes will transform the Boardwalk into a more pedestrian-friendly destination by allowing visitors to carry alcoholic beverages throughout public walkways and common areas.
