The town of Vivian in North Caddo Parish is again rolling out the red carpet for all comers for this year’s Louisiana Redbud Festival!

Though the actual “Redbud Day” won’t be until Saturday, March 21, when they’ll hold the Redbud Parade and many other activities, they’ve again made the event several weeks long.
Along with the “Ruby Collins Memorial Treasure Hunt” which will begin on March 16, the Redbud Festival is home to many other attractions including the “Redbud 5K Color Run” on March 14, the “Redbud Pet Contest” on March 17 and the “Redbud Gospel Night” on March 20.
However, the event near and dear to local anglers will be the 5th Annual Louisiana Redbud Team Bass Fishing Tournament slated for next Saturday, March 14 at Earl G. Williamson Park on Caddo Lake in Oil City, Louisiana.
Entry fee is $150 per team with a maximum of two people per team. This includes entry into the Big Bass Pot which will pay $500 for the biggest bass of the event.
