SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department has announced two road closures due to ongoing repairs to a water main at the T.L. Amiss Water Plant.
At this time, the following roads are closed:
- The 3200 block of Milam Street is shut down from Exposition Avenue to the Villa Del Lago Apartments in the 3500 block of Milam Street. No cars are allowed to go east or west on this street.
- Blanchard Road is also closed from the T.L. Amiss Water Plant to Hilry Huckaby Avenue in both directions. Residents and visitors trying to get to the Lakeside Acres Subdivision should use Logan Street from Hearne Avenue.
These road closures will likely last until at least Monday while the repairs are finished.
The department says it is important not to drive around the barricades, as they are there to keep everyone safe and help the workers complete their job quickly.
