SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — In a disturbing event, the Shreveport Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at Youree Drive Middle School involving a former teacher and a special education student.
Child abuse arrest among recent Vernon Parish cases
According to police reports, Tramikal Davis was working as a teacher’s aide when Caddo Parish School Board (CPSB) employees reported concerning behavior, alleging that Davis struck a 13‑year‑old autistic student multiple times.
The school board immediately intervened with a thorough review, which led to Davis’ termination and referrals to the Shreveport Police Department and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for further investigation.
