SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Police are searching for a woman who they say violently assaulted a police officer at a grocery store on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway.
According to a report from the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), Alicia Lewis is the suspect after a Walmart theft turned into what they called a violent, reckless confrontation with officers.
SPD says they attempted to detain her for theft, and Lewis refused to comply with commands to leave her car.
As the officer attempted to remove her, they say she slammed the door shut on his head as he leaned in, then briefly trapped him in the doorway as she reversed and sped away…
