There is nothing better than scooping up fresh fruits and veggies from local growers and we will soon have farmers markets back for the spring season. You might think about the big one at Festival Plaza in Shreveport. But there are several others around the region.
Shop Local at Farmers Markets
Not only will you get great things from local farms, but you will also find grass fed meats from local spots, arts and crafts, plants, jams and jellies and so much more. And your money will stay local and help out small businesses from our area.
Many of the farmers markets also offer live music. This makes the events so festival and enjoyable.
You can also enjoy a great breakfast or brunch from food vendors at the markets. I’ve grabbed beignets, breakfast sandwiches and more at some local markets. You can also snap up fresh juice at some of the events.
