SHREVEPORT, La.(KTAL/KMSS) — A Shreveport man with multiple domestic violence warrants was arrested on March 28, 2026, after allegedly strangling a woman earlier in the day and later attempting to flee from officers during a foot chase, police say.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West 77th Street after receiving reports that the suspect had returned to the victim’s home following an earlier assault.
The victim told police the suspect allegedly strangled her and bit her fingers during the initial altercation.
As officers responded, dispatch warned that the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants and might attempt to flee, prompting additional units to be called to assist. When officers arrived, the victim quietly guided them to the back of the residence, where the suspect was believed to be hiding…
