HAUGHTON, La. – A Haughton man died early Monday following a motorcycle crash on Sligo Road. Louisiana State Police Troopers from Troop G responded to the scene near Mayflower Road around 1 a.m.
The preliminary investigation shows Preston Workman, 43, was driving a 2025 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Sligo Road. The vehicle crossed the centerline and hit an uneven section of the shoulder before overturning.
Workman was wearing a DOT-approved helmet but sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, who was also wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries…
