Shreveport police say they were never contacted about Easter event followed by deadly shooting

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Questions are emerging about security at an Easter Sunday Fun-Day event that drew large crowds to 70th Street and was followed by a shooting that left one man dead.

Shreveport police said they were never contacted about the event. A flyer promoting the event claimed SPD was hired for security.
