Free spay/neuter event for low-income pet owners in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Robinson’s Rescue is hosting its SSNIP Voucher Day to provide free spay/neuter appointments for pets of Caddo and Bossier Parish residents.

“The SSNIP (Subsidized Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) provides free spay/neuter surgeries and rabies vaccinations for pets belonging to income-qualified households,” a press release stated. “Eligible participants include individuals earning $2,100 or less per month or married couples earning $3,100 or less per month.”

Attendees can ask questions and receive help filling out paperwork to schedule a spay/neuter appointment.

The event will take place on Friday, April 10, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Robinson’s Rescue, 2515 Line Ave. in Shreveport. Attendees must bring a valid photo ID and proof of income. To learn more, visit robinsonsrescue.org…
