Shreveport police increase patrols on 70th Street ahead of planned event

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport police are increasing patrols on 70th Street following a deadly shooting on Easter Sunday.

Despite the recent shooting, social media accounts show “Tha Trap” is planning to host another event this weekend. Police are encouraging people not to attend.

“Unfortunately, events like this allow criminals to camouflage the most regular citizens,” Cpl. Chris Boredlon said. “And obviously, this event in this area has drawn violent crime this year. And so to attend that event, you know, could be putting yourself in danger.”
