SHREVEPORT, La. — One week after a mass shooting left eight children dead in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, grief continues to weigh heavily on the community as families, neighbors and city leaders search for healing and answers.
The victims — ages 3 to 11 — were killed in what police describe as a domestic‑violence‑driven attack that unfolded across multiple homes last Sunday morning. Two women were critically wounded, and a ninth child survived by escaping onto a roof.
