Shreveport man found guilty of 2023 murder

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A Shreveport man has been found guilty of a murder that happened in 2023, according to the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Mark White, 20, was found guilty of second-degree murder in court Friday, May 15. The DA’s office says White shot and killed DeAnthony Johnson, 19, on Feb. 7, 2023. White was found guilty by a jury made up of seven women and five men. The trial kicked off May 11.

The DA’s office says during the trial, jurors learned that on the morning of Feb. 7, White was a passenger in a yellow Camaro that was at the intersection of Union Street and 69th Street across the street from the Goodwill outlet as Johnson was riding his bike down Union Street…
