Maryland seeks volunteers to expand local forest efforts

Maryland residents are being invited to join local Forestry Boards after a statewide restructuring designed to improve coordination and support forest conservation efforts.

The update was announced by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Maryland Forestry Foundation, according to a community announcement.

Originally established in 1943, Maryland’s Forestry Boards connect communities with forest stewardship efforts and continue to operate in every county and Baltimore City.
