Flagship Car Wash is no longer pursuing plans to build a new location on a vacant property next to Lidl in Montgomery Village.
According to Montgomery Village News, on August 19, Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) management was notified that Spotless Brands, the company behind Flagship Car Wash, had decided not to move forward with the purchase of the property at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Centerway Road. The vacant property is known as “Lot 37.”
The decision follows months of opposition to the proposal. After the July MVF Board meeting, management sent Spotless Brands a letter opposing the proposed car wash development on behalf of the MVF Board of Directors.
