Maryland AG takes over probe after deadly police pursuit in Anne Arundel County

MARYLAND (WBFF) — A deadly crash in Jessup that began with a hit-and-run involving a police vehicle is now under investigation by the Maryland Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division, as required by state law in police-involved fatal incidents.

Howard County police said a 2018 Infiniti Q60 struck an occupied, parked Howard County police vehicle on Montevideo Road near Route 1 just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Investigators said the driver kept going and the officer pursued the vehicle.
