Beloved downtown Silver Spring breakfast and lunch eatery Lemon Slice Cafe is now under new ownership, with chef Beth Yohannes relocating to Dallas to be closer to family.
The restaurant’s new owner is Burtonsville resident Antsochia Miliard of Lemon Lane LLC, which was formed in June, according to Maryland business records.
Yohannes opened Lemon Slice Cafe in 2019 in the former home of Dip N Rolls at 8737 Colesville Road and quickly made it popular for its Ethiopian kitfo and awaze tibs served in sandwich form, earning coverage in the Washington City Paper in 2020 and in the WETA PBS television series Signature Dish earlier this year…
