FAIRFAX, Va. (DC News Now) — A community is in mourning after a 13-year-old was struck and killed while riding his bicycle on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a large truck was exiting a shopping center onto Pickett Road around 2:30 p.m. when it struck the child, who was riding a bike. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
“I didn’t want to believe it was real,” said Celine Nguyen, who witnessed the whole thing.
