Pair arrested for alleged Chesapeake Beach pharmacy break-in

A 34-year-old Montgomery County man and as 31-year-old Prince George’s County man are both behind bars for their alleged roles in the break-in at a Chesapeake Beach pharmacy on June 26.

According to court records, Aaron David Dickerson of Germantown is charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary in connection with the alleged break-in at CVS Pharmacy. The other suspect, identified as Tevin Denzel Smith of Suitland, has been charged with conspiracy.

According to charging documents filed by Detective Edward Yates of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, footage from a store video surveillance camera shows that shortly after 3 a.m. on June 26, someone used a crow bar to gain entry to the business. The perpetrator was allegedly carrying a hydraulic tool and other implements.

Yates said the video footage indicates Dickerson “attempted to break into the ATM safe utilizing the tool. When unsuccessful, he attempted to cut into the safe using a battery-powered metal angle grinder.”
