Their last day will be Sept. 30 after a new owner purchased the restaurant.

Renato’s ownership group, Potomac Restaurant Group, said in a statement to DC News Now that the new buyer wants to “to make a major investment in the restaurant space” prompting its closure.

“It had always been our hope that a buyer would purchase the restaurant as is and transition to the new buyer would be fairly seamless, continuing uninterrupted with improvements occurring over time. That is not how this transition will occur.”
