Police identify victim found dead in car in Landover

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) has released the name of the person who was found dead inside a vehicle in Landover on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Kesean Pollard, of Landover.

Police said that just before 9:30 a.m., they responded to the 7400 block of Landover Road for the report of a shooting. This is near a funeral home.

When officers arrived, they found a crime scene on the road.

Just a short distance away from the scene, they discovered Pollard dead inside a car in the 7100 block of Old Landover Road.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

PGPD doesn’t believe this was a random crime.
