Police investigating death of 19-year-old found behind Silver Spring bus stop

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Detectives are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man who was found behind a bus stop in Silver Spring on Tuesday.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD), just after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, officers were called to the Ride On Bus Stop located in the 9300 block of Branch Road.

There, they found 19-year-old Diego Edilberto Borja-Cardona, of Silver Spring, with trauma to his body.

He died there.

Police said his body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy and to determine the cause of death.

MCPD encourages anyone with information to call 866-411-8477 or enter a tip online . Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward ranging from $250 to $10,000.
