GAITHERSBURG, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said a teen boy, who had an active warrant, was arrested on Nov. 8 after being found with a gun and fentanyl in Rockville.
Police said that at about 1:30 p.m., they saw a 17-year-old boy in the 5500 block of Besley Court of Rockville.
Police said the 17-year-old boy had an active warrant after not showing up in court.

When officers tried to approach the teen, he left running and attempted to pull out a loaded firearm from his belt.
Police were able to arrest the teen and take him into custody.
MCPD found the teen to also have 250 blue “M30” suspected fentanyl pills as well as cash.
He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit (CPU) were he is still being held.
The 17-year-old was charged with possession of a firearm and drugs with the intent to distribute.
