Residents displaced after car catches fire behind DC apartment building

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Fire crews responded to a fire near an apartment building in Northeast on Saturday.

In a post made at 6:45 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said that crews were in the 400 block of 13th St. NE for a car that caught on fire behind a building there.

Five people treated after multi-vehicle crash on Rock Creek Parkway

DCFD said that the five-story apartment building was occupied when the fire started, but nobody was injured.

As of 7:05 p.m., the fire had been extinguished.
